Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy outlines the procedures for cancelling services and requesting refunds from BHRO (Bharat Human Rights Organisation), operated under Global Aarthik Samajik Sahyog Society. By availing any service, training, donation, registration or support offered by BHRO, you agree to the terms mentioned below.

1. Nature of Services

BHRO operates various social, educational and human-rights–based initiatives such as:

• Human Rights Awareness Programs
• Legal Aid Referral Services
• Workshops, Training and Capacity Building
• Community Development Projects
• Membership, Certification or Participation Fees (If Applicable)
• Digital and Documentation Support for community upliftment activities
• Event Registration Fees and Social Program Participation Charges

These services involve planning, outreach, coordination, training material preparation, operational costs and manpower utilisation immediately after confirmation. Hence, refunds are handled with clear guidelines to maintain fairness and operational integrity.

2. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations must be requested within 24 hours of making the payment.
• Once program preparation, scheduling, documentation review, or beneficiary support work has begun, cancellation is not allowed.
• No cancellation is accepted for emergency requests, urgent cases, fast-track documentation, or priority support services.
• Event, workshop or seminar registrations cannot be cancelled after the final participant list is prepared.
• No cancellation is applicable for any service where BHRO staff or volunteers have already initiated field or coordination work.

3. Refund Eligibility

• Refunds are allowed only when no work has started after payment confirmation.
• If BHRO has already initiated planning, communication, training preparation, case review, outreach or documentation, the service becomes non-refundable.
• In rare cases of technical failure or internal errors from BHRO’s side, a partial refund may be processed after internal review.
• All refund requests must be submitted in writing with clear justification.
• Refund approval is not guaranteed and is subject to evaluation by the BHRO management committee.

4. Non-Refundable Services

The following services are strictly non-refundable:

• Awareness program fees once materials or resources are allocated
• Legal aid referral support charges (coordination fee)
• Event/workshop registration fees after confirmation
• Membership fees, certification fees or participation charges
• Any logistical, travelling or operational expense incurred by BHRO
• Third-party or partner-organisation fees
• Digital or printed documentation that has already been prepared or delivered
• Donations made voluntarily to BHRO

5. Donations

Donations made to BHRO support our social welfare, human rights and community development missions. As per NGO norms, donations are generally non-refundable.

Refunds are only considered in the following cases:

• Duplicate payments by mistake
• Technical transaction failures
• Wrong amount mistakenly entered & verified immediately

6. Project/Service Delays from Client Side

If beneficiaries, partners or participants delay their responses, do not submit required documents/information on time, or fail to attend scheduled meetings/activities, such delays are not grounds for cancellation or refund.

7. Program or Service Termination by BHRO

BHRO reserves the right to discontinue or cancel a participant’s involvement in case of:

• Misconduct, abuse or harassment towards staff or volunteers
• Illegal activities or misuse of BHRO services
• Violation of BHRO policies or community guidelines
• Failure to provide required identity or documentation verification

No refund will be issued in such cases.

8. Refund Processing Timeline

• Approved refunds are processed within 7–21 working days.
• Refunds are issued only to the original payment source.
• Bank charges, payment gateway fees or admin costs may be deducted.

9. Policy Updates & Modifications

BHRO may update this Refund & Cancellation Policy at any time to reflect changes in services, legal requirements or operational processes. The updated policy will be posted on the website.
